Slow Cooker Flank Steak with Red Wine Reduction Gravy

I love all types of red meat but I especially love flank steak.
It shreds beautifully, so versatile to make many meals out of, and is also the steak lowest in fat.

Being lower in fat means that you get to eat more lean protein for less calories which is always a big bang for your buck!

This recipe is made in the slow cooker, so it’s mess free with nothing more than a crockpot to clean up, and so easy to throw together.
After you add all of the ingredients, move on to more important things because dinner is done!

You can add this flank steak to a tortilla and make it mexican style, add cheese to it along with some peppers and onions and make it a cheese steak, add it to some rice with veggies and make it asian, or eat as is with a baked potato and some roasted veggies on its own. There are so many possibilities!

Ingredients:
1 1/2 pounds flank steak
1/4 cup ketchup
1/4 cup BBQ sauce
1/4 cup red wine
1 cup water
1 tsp salt
1 tsp garlic powder

Method:
Place flank steak in slow cooker
Mix all of the ingredients together in a medium bowl
Pour mixture over steak
Cook for 6 hours
Shred with fork

There should be a good amount of “gravy” left over. Pour over steak.

Enjoy!
