I often get messages from people who are confused and frustrated because they are working out and “eating clean” but their bodies aren’t changing. Here are a few important aspects to take into account.
?Consistency – Rome wasn’t built in a day and neither will your body. It didn’t take you 2 weeks to put on all the weight and it certainly won’t take 2 weeks to take off.
Consistency is ???. Keep at it. Keep going. Each day you will be one step closer to your goals. I PROMISE you will see results over time. Take progress pictures to motivate yourself and to see the changes that you may not see on the scale or in the mirror.
?Intensity- yes, showing up at the gym is a great achievement- but stop just going through the motions, doing the same thing day after day. Get comfortable with feeling UNcomfortable. That is when changes start to occur. Always strive for a bit more than the day before. Push yourself. You will be glad you did.
?Weekends – you’ve worked hard on your diet and in the gym all week. You think you’ve “earned” a relaxing weekend, some drinks and an opportunity to eat whatever you want. The weekend somehow has a mental effect that it’s time to let go and relax, but in essence this is when you make the decision of how much you really want to achieve your goals. Those 2 short days can set you back to the exact same spot to where you were. Don’t make the weekends an excuse to fall off the wagon.
Be compliment and consistent all weekend and you will feel so much better come Monday morning.
Hope these tips helped! We are all striving to be healthier and more fit and nothing gives me greater pleasure than to help others reach their goals!
