So delicious, so healthy and so easy!
Of course you can substitute the beef with chicken, shrimp, scallops or any other protein, but this is fast cooking for a weeknight and sure to please the whole family as well as your waistline.
For every half pound of protein, add 2 tablespoons of low sodium soy sauce and 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce.
Marinate the meat (the longer the better with the steak) by placing it in a ziplock bag or bowl, covering and placing in the refrigerator.
Tip: I like to cut my steak while its raw with kitchen shears – cooks faster and looks nice!
In a large pan heat 1 tablespoon of peanut oil
Add about 3 cups of broccoli (I added green beans too – feel free to add whatever veggies you like – the more the better!)
Cook for about 1 minute and add 2 tablespoons of water to keep the broccoli nice and green.
Cover to steam and continue to cook the broccoli for another 3 minutes.
Remove from stove and transfer to a bowl.
Using the same pan, add another 1/2 tablespoon of peanut oil.
Cook the meat for about 4 minutes on each side or until done.
Add it to the broccoli
Serve over rice and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Easy! Quick! Tasty! And a great balance of protein, carbs and fats!
Let me know how you like it! It’s always a hit in my house!
